Diego Percossi Papi nasce a Roma nel 1946.
L’interesse nei confronti del passato e il fascino della tecnica e del colore, lo condurranno ad esplorare, da autodidatta, l’attività di artista-scultore-orafo.
Nel 1968 apre un piccolo atelier a Roma, vicino al Pantheon, e fin dagli esordi da avvio ad uno stile unico, inconfondibile e del tutto personale; personale come i suoi esemplari creati ‘ad personam’, la cui produzione limitata ne accresce il fascino.
Seppure i materiali impiegati nelle sue creazioni siano spesso vari, la tecnica è invece singolare e inconfutabile, quella del cloisonné: antica tecnica di decorazione egiziana e bizantina.
Percossi Papi guarda al passato sebbene il suo pubblico sia contemporaneo; disegna e produce gioielli anche per film di registi dal calibro di Wertmuller, Taviani, Monicelli, Olmi e per attrici come Sophia Loren, Jacqueline Bisset, Isabelle Huppert, Cate Blanchet, alcuni dei quali hanno vinto premi internazionali per i costumi.

Diego Percossi Papi was born in Rome in 1946.
The interest in the past and the fascination of technique and color will lead him to explore, as a self-taught, the activity of artist-sculptor-goldsmith.
In 1968 he opened a small atelier in Rome, near the Pantheon, and from the very beginning he started a unique, unmistakable and completely personal style; as personal as his specimens created 'ad personam', whose limited production increases their charm.
Although the materials used in his creations are often various, the technique is instead singular and irrefutable, that of cloisonné: an ancient decoration technique Egyptian and Byzantine.
Percossi Papi looks to the past although his audience is contemporary; she also designs and produces jewels for films by directors of the caliber of Wertmuller, Taviani, Monicelli, Olmi and for actresses such as Sophia Loren, Jacqueline Bisset, Isabelle Huppert, Cate Blanchet, some of whom have won international awards for costumes.
