2017 Lab Edition is a symbol of the connection between nature and man-made objects. Recalling alchemic instruments, light is captured by the liquid inside the spheres and reflected onto mir- rored disks, transforming it into a magical dazzle that embod- ies the entire piece. There is a moment when the sun hits the surface of a lagoon and creates a lens resemblance. This effect captures a “spark” and turns it into a source of light. Lab Edition captures this moment of ephemeral beauty: a ripple of light, a vibrant and lively reflection.
