La XJ-S fu la sportiva più longeva di tutta la gamma Jaguar.
Agli albori degli anni ’90 fu presentata una nuova serie –a cui appartiene la vettura qui proposta- che era il risultato di un importante programma di miglioramento ed ammodernamento della gamma, che coinvolse ben 1200 modifiche rispetto alla versione precedente. In pratica, era una macchina nuova, ed anche la fabbrica e i metodi di produzione erano stati ammodernati per essere in grado di fornire un prodotto qualitativamente di classe molto elevata
Grazie a tutte le modifiche apportate, la XJS entrò nel suo ultimo decennio con rinnovato successo, e mantenne una produzione elevata sino al 1996.
La vettura in asta, in condizioni pari al nuovo malgrado una percorrenza di circa 131,000 chilometri, si presenta con una elegantissima livrea in Dorchester Grey con interno in pelle Doeskin. E’ omologata ASI con targa oro.
Utilizzata frequentemente, ma per pochi chilometri, dall’attuale proprietario, è sempre stata mantenuta in perfetta efficienza. Negli ultimi dodici mesi ha ricevuto unimportante e costoso intervento all’impianto di climatizzazione.
E’ una vettura pronta per continuare il suo servizio di GT di lusso in uso quasi quotidiano con il fortunato acquirente che se l’aggiudicherà, godendo del piacere esclusivo che solo una GT a dodici cilindri può dare.
La vettura è in ottime condizioni meccaniche, ma per sicurezza consigliamo all’acquirente di sottoporla a un controllo e di sostituire i fluidi, i filtri e particolari deperibili.

The XJ-S has been the Jaguar sports car with the longest life.
In the early 1990s it was completely modernised and a new series was launched. This car belongs to that series and benefits from over 1200 improvements and changes. It practically was a new model.
The new XJ-S enjoyed its last decade of life with more and more success, beating the previous versions sales stats, and sailing on until 1996.
This motor car has been driven for 100,000 km (less than 82,000 miles) and is like new. It has a very elegant livery of Dorchester Grey with Doeskin leather upholstery, and has the coveted ASI “Targa Oro” certificate.
The vendor has enjoyed it for many years and has used it frequently, always maintaining it in perfect efficiency. In the past months it has received a comprehensive and expensive overhaul of the climate system.
This XJ-S is exceptional because it has been spared the usual years of neglect by pennyless owners and it has always been maintained expensively with no regard for its commercial value.
Needless to say, it is one of the coolest V12 GTs for the money.
This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
